What This Privacy Policy Covers

This policy covers how IDEAS, LLC (hereinafter “IDEAS”) treats personal information that IDEAS collects and receives from users (a “User”) of the web site located at (the “Web Site”) on the world wide web that is personally identifiable, such as your name, address, email address, or phone number, registration number, and any other information that is not otherwise publicly available. All “personal information” (“personal information” is defined as any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact, or locate the person to whom such information pertains) that we collect and maintain will be subject to the version of the Privacy Policy in effect at the time of such collection. We have adopted a set of guidelines that serve as the basis for our customer and advertiser relationships. These guidelines have been developed with the recognition that Internet technologies are rapidly evolving, and that underlying business models are still not established. Accordingly, guidelines are subject to change. Any such changes as they relate to privacy or the sharing of User(s) personal identifiable information will be posted on this page. If the changes represent a material departure from our current practices with respect to the use of personal information, the changes will be posted on this page thirty (30) days prior to taking effect and registered Users will be notified via e-mail at their primary email address. If you have objections to the Privacy Policy, you should not access or use this Web Site. This Privacy Policy does not govern privacy practices associated with offline activities, other IDEAS web sites, or affiliated and/or linked third party web sites. More specifically, this privacy policy does not apply to the practices of third party companies not controlled by IDEAS, or to people not employed or managed by IDEAS. The Web Site may contain links to other sites from which personal information is collected. In such instances, unless expressly provided to the contrary, the collection and use of your personal information will be governed by the privacy policy applicable to that third party web site. IDEAS is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of non-IDEAS web sites to which this Web Site may link. You should review the privacy policy of such web sites before using such web sites.

Information Collection and Use


IDEAS collects personal information when a User registers an account with IDEAS, when a User utilizes IDEAS services, when a User visits IDEAS web pages or the pages of certain IDEAS partners.

When a User registers an account, IDEAS asks for information such as your name, email address, zip code, occupation, industry. This information is registered and managed by a third party service provider, Constant Contact.

IDEAS automatically receives and records information on our server logs from each User’s browser, including your IP address, and IDEAS’ cookie information.

IDEAS utilizes this information for the following general purposes: to inform the users of new articles or changes in programs and services, to improve our services and inform you of products and services that may better meet your needs, to market new services to you that we think will be of interest to you, to contact Users, conduct research, to anticipate and resolve problems with your service, and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

IDEAS does not rent, sell, or share personal information about Users with non affiliated companies, except for information where a User has requested, when IDEAS has obtained a User’s permission, or under the following circumstances:

– We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights, or to defend against legal claims;

– We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of IDEAS Terms of Use, or as otherwise required by law.

– It is possible that IDEAS, its subsidiaries, its joint ventures, or any combination of such, could merge with or be acquired by another business entity. Should such a combination occur, you should expect that IDEAS would share some or all of your information in order to continue to provide its services.

Due to the existing regulatory environment, IDEAS cannot ensure that all of your private communications and other personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. By way of example (without limiting the foregoing), IDEAS may be forced to disclose information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, or third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications. Therefore, although we use industry standard practices to protect each User’s privacy, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your personally identifiable information or private communications would always remain private.


IDEAS may set and access IDEAS cookies on your computer. A cookie is a small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by a server and can only be read by the server that gave it to you. It functions as your identification card, and enables IDEAS to record your passwords, purchases, and preferences. It cannot be executed as code or deliver viruses.

Each use has the ability and responsibility to monitor, edit and/or delete the cookies and their associated preferences in their own system.


Each registered User can access and edit their account information at any time.

New categories of marketing communications may be added to the Marketing Preferences page from time to time. Users who visit this page can opt-out of receiving future marketing communications from these new categories or they can unsubscribe by following instructions contained in the messages they receive.

We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the IDEAS services, such as service announcements, new service/product announcements, administrative messages and other correspondence that may be part of the IDEAS News Letter, unless you elect to opt-out or unscubcribe to the IDEAS services.

We limit access to personal information about Users to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide services to Users or in order to do their jobs.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect the information we collect online. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information and email addresses submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the World Wide Web, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Changes to this Privacy Policy 2010 IDEAS have updated their 2010 Privacy Policy. We will notify Users about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in the IDEAS‘ mailing list or by placing a prominent notice on our Web Site. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, and will be subject to, the changes to the Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Web Site after such notice has been posted or email sent to the primary email address.


In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we will not knowingly provide access to IDEAS’s Web Site to persons under the age of thirteen (13). If IDEAS later learns that any registered user is under the age of thirteen (13), we will take appropriate steps to remove the member’s information from the database and we will restrict this individual from future access to the IDEAS’s Web Site. Except where otherwise disclosed, we will not collect or use any personal information from children we know to be under the age of thirteen without obtaining express parental consent.
